What Causes Brain Decay?

Genetic Damage

Synthetic B Vitamins cause damage to our genes and chemical pathways damaging our brains health and function. These synthetic B vitamins have been added to much of our food supply since 1992. You can read more about it here.

"Supplementation of synthetic forms of B vitamins in our foods is causing a higher percentage of the population to have defects in their genes. If you inherit an already susceptible gene and you add to that an increased heavy metal/toxin exposure and diet deficiencies in major nutrients and minerals necessary for these genetic chemical pathways to work, then it is no wonder why we end up with a brain health epidemic we are experiencing in our country."

Chemicals and Toxins

• According to a study in 2005, two major laboratories found that babies are born with over 200 industrial chemicals and pollutants in their umbilical cord blood. The study of 10 babies born in  2004 in U.S. hospitals revealed the umbilical cord blood of these children, collected by Red Cross after the cord was cut, harbored pesticides, consumer product ingredients, and wastes from burning coal, gasoline, and garbage. We know that 180 of these toxins cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system.

A study done in 2007 showed that "Thimerosal" (mercury) caused cell death. "There was evidence of mitochondrial (cellular power plant) dysfunction and cell death." Toxicological & Environmental Chemistry 2009.

"The extreme exposure to these chemicals, and the body burden of the mother and newborn, directly lead to both formation issues on the new brain but also affect how the brain and nervous system can function. It directly affects how genes methylate, detox and repair our brains."

An Unhealthy Gut
Because your first brain (in your head) and your second brain (in your gut) are so intimately connected, any damage your gut suffers will also affect your brain. Your gut can be damaged and all functions can be interrupted by a number of environmental and lifestyle factors.

• Glyphosate (Roundup) creates holes in the gut lining leading to 'Leaky Gut Syndrome' and autoimmune disorders. It interferes with the liver's main detox pathways which allows for a build up of toxins and heavy metals. It also interferes with the cholesterol sulfate pathways which are essential for brain and cell health.

• Dairy and gluten contain glutamates which can lead to brain damage by exciting cells to death. Normally glutamate is held in check by a dam-like effect in your brain, only let out when it needs to send a message through your chemical pathways. However, if the dam spills or breaks, glutamate runs rampant as an excitotoxin and leaves damage and cellular death in it's wake.

The opiate-like effect of gluten and dairy on the nervous system was first described in children with autism by K. Reichect, MD in the 1980’s.  Watch this video.
